Almost 25 years after its creation, the Foundation of Greater Montréal had distributed close to $200M in grants to charitable organizations operating in the Greater Montréal region. A variety of FGM funds and programs support groups working in every sector of the collective life of our community.

Please note that FGM generally does not accept unsolicited grant requests. Subscribe to the newsletter, follow FGM on social media or come back later to visit our website to remain informed of our Collective Funds’ granting cycles and future developments.

FGM also offers charitable organizations the possibility of creating their own endowment funds. The income from these funds can be allocated to their operations and their programs. If you are a non-profit organization registered with the Canada Revenue Agency, you could be eligible to create a fund. Have questions? Get in touch with us.

Programs

FGM has established its own granting programs, and we also administer several private and government programs that provide matching grants and incentives to philanthropy in many sectors. The organizations selected through matching programs are eligible to receive supplemental grants, and to create their own endowment funds, which can in turn bolster their own fundraising efforts and further their work.
