A word from FGM – March 2024

Following International Women’s Day on March 8, the members of the Women’s Impact Montreal Collective Fund (WIM Fund)’s Advisory Committee are proud to announce the conclusions of the Fund’s latest funding cycle!

Over three years, a total sum of $750,000 will now have been distributed to Greater Montreal organizations working directly with women and girls in order to support their well-being and defend their rights. First off, seven organizations that had already received support from the Fund will obtain a new grant in 2024. WIM Fund members are glad to support them again, as part of its multi-year commitment and in recognition of the important work they accomplish. Moreover, thanks to the commitment of the Fund’ members and donors, two additional organizations will now join this list: Le Parados and Monthly Dignity. We were impressed by their initiatives, and we hope this grant will allow them to reach more women and girls to make them benefit from their services. In total since 2022, 18 community organizations have received a WIM Fund grant. To learn more about the structure and impact of the Fund over the last three years, download this summary document.

In closing, I want to encourage every person who relates to the Fund’s mission to join our giving circle, or to renew their commitment. By getting involved with the Women’s Impact Montreal Collective Fund, you will become part of a network of people motivated by the same values and pursuing the same goal, that is to make a difference in the lives of Greater Montreal’s women and girls.

Thank you, and talk to you soon!
