The Fonds MdM pour l’équité en Santé is dedicated to supporting the mission and financial sustainability of Médecins du Monde, with the goal of durably improving access to healthcare for vulnerable individuals, both in Canada and internationally. It funds concrete initiatives in care, support, and advocacy to reduce health inequalities and advance the right to health for all.
Médecins du Monde explains its motivation for establishing this endowment fund at the Fondation du Grand Montréal as follows:
« Through this fund, we commit to taking sustainable action to ensure that access to healthcare is no longer a privilege, but a real right for the most excluded. We invite everyone to contribute to building a fairer and more humane healthcare system by supporting a community-based, holistic approach to health—meeting people where they are, addressing the social determinants of health, and tailoring responses to their realities. »
