The Collective Fund for Social Equity
The Foundation of Greater Montréal’s Collective Fund for Social Equity is a philanthropic fund that any person or entity can contribute to.
Apart from FGM’s support in the amount of $500,000, the Fund’s 2024-2026 granting cycle was made possible by the generosity of the Fondation de la famille Pathy, the Fondation familiale Trottier, the Fondation Lucie et André Chagnon, the Fondation Mirella et Lino Saputo, the Tiphane Fund at the East Bay Community Foundation and the World Education Services Mariam Assefa Fund.
As well, many individuals contributed to the Fund through online donations, or, in the case of FGM fund creators, by allocating a share of their annual granting to the Fund.
The Foundation of Greater Montréal warmly thanks them for their support and their trust!
The Fund’s decision making process was guided by a participatory strategy. In order to put that into practice, the Foundation called on several individuals involved in organizations that work with persons who are asylum seekers, refugees, migrants without status or with temporary or precarious status. These partners come from Greater Montreal community organizations, human rights groups, municipal bodies, public health agencies and organizations that facilitate consultation. Together, they constituted the Fund’s participatory advisory committee.
FGM thanks them for their valuable collaboration, their time and their commitment!
