The working group on philanthropy in Black communities, composed of individuals who come from a variety of backgrounds, thus reflecting the diversity of those communities, has a mandate to work in tandem with the project team conducting the study.
In 2024, the Collective Fund for Climate and Ecological Transition at FGM, with a view towards environmental and social justice, will support organizations or projects aiming at empowering communities that are over-exposed to the effects of the climate crisis and adverse characteristics of their built environment.

In Greater Montreal, the movement to protect Indigenous languages translates into community-led initiatives to revitalize Kanien'kéha. In recognition of this fundamental work, the Foundation of Greater Montréal decided to lend its support to some of those initiatives. Ionkwaká:raton is one of them.
The organizations will address the needs of their community and will implement innovative solutions to encourage inclusivity.
