At December 31, 2025, the Foundation of Greater Montréal’s total assets under management stood at $523.3 million.

FGM remains the largest community foundation in Quebec and sixth in Canada. Since its inception, it has distributed more than $225 million to Greater Montréal community organizations.

Those assets are spread across 790 different funds

These funds support causes, community organizations and projects in all sectors of our collective life, from medical research to culture and the arts, as well as environmental protection, access to quality education, Reconciliation with First Peoples, food security, homelessness, mental health and more.

in contributions

Thanks to its sound management, contributions nearing $22 million and a 10.8% gross rate of return, FGM remains in solid financial health and maintains its capacity to intervene in the Greater Montreal community.

$19.3 million

in grants

This total includes about 10% coming from FGM’s own funds, just over 25% from its donor-advised funds and 60% from designated and auto-designated funds.
