À chaque mois, nous abordons un thème différent avec un mot de la direction ainsi que de courtes vignettes portant sur les fonds, les philanthropes et les organismes qui forment la communauté de la FGM en se mettant à l’écoute et au service de la communauté du Grand Montréal.
We provide an after-school program Monday to Friday 2:30-6pm. The program runs from September to June Kindergarten to grade 6 students register for the program (70 children currently enrolled). 1 educator per classroom to oversee their homework with the addition of volunteer support. We have 4 classrooms with an ideal ratio of 12 children per classroom. 2 recreation animators to plan, implement and evaluate activities for children to develop socially, physically and emotionally. We provide a healthy snack for each child upon arrival each day (other department’s expense). Homework lasts 45-60 minutes, socio-recreation lasts 40 mins. If children complete their homework or don’t have homework we provide individualized work sheets. Children participate in cooperative games, sports, arts & crafts, drama games and much more during socio-recreation. We also have monthly themes which we base our programming on, we culminate each month with an assembly to celebrate and present awards to children they may not receive at their school’s assemblies. We also hold special events to bring families together such as holiday dinners, graduation ceremonies and outings
