The Fonds Théorêt - Association québécoise des personnes aphasiques

Create a community of belonging for people with aphasia and their loved ones

The mission of the Fonds Théorêt – Association québécoise des personnes aphasiques (AQPA) is to create a community of belonging where people with aphasia receive services that promote their integration into society and where their loved ones are assisted in their support role.

The AQPA created this fund at FGM in July of 2022, with a starting capital of $40,000. According to its members, “the Association québécoise des personnes aphasiques wishes to grow this capital by investing it through a philanthropic fund allowing a significant rate of return and an annual distribution of grants to help us fulfilling our mission in the service of people with aphasia and their loved ones. We chose the Foundation of Greater Montréal, notably because of its values, low administration fees and the long-term rate of return of the funds it manages.”

Congratulations to the entire AQPA team for the creation of their fund!
