The Fonds Espace LGBTQ+
The mission of the Fonds Espace LGBTQ+ is to provide social organizations working with LGBTQIA2S+ people with conditions allowing them to better reach those populations, improve their services, to achieve economies of scale and improve their social and economic efficiency. It also aims to build up the capacities of the community through one or more resource centers working to encourage information sharing and voluntary pooling of resources or technical services between social organizations working with LGBTQIA2S+ people.
More specifically, the fund supports Espace + Village, a community complex located at 929 Ste-Catherine East. This complex brings together 10 full-time NPOs and includes the creation of a variety of spaces to meet the specific needs of LGBTQIA2S+ populations and organizations. These facilities will include community spaces, cultural venues, offices, consultation and meeting spaces, conference rooms, coworking spaces, and an event and multifunction room, in addition to a rooftop terrace.
