Since the early 2000s, and maybe even before, I was looking for a reason to be, something that would make me want to get up in the morning. My life was completely transformed and on January 11, 2011, the Diane Gosselin Fund was created. Its mission: to help “my brain children”. Today, at 70 years old, I understand that isolated seniors are the extension of my initial project and have become “my brain children”. I believe that the isolated elderly deserve my attention because they represent the people in our society who have been forgotten for so many years. They need witnesses to their lives. The Diane Gosselin Fund allows me to extend my hand beyond the existence of my own life. And this gives me a reason to be today.
