Stories that inspire
The Centre d’archives de Vaudreuil-Soulanges
The Vaudreuil-Soulanges Archival Centre is dedicated to managing and preserving the archival heritage of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region. This documentary or written heritage primarily comes from organizations, businesses, institutions, and families in the area. The Archival Centre promotes access to and dissemination of its documents through publications, events, films, and other digital technologies.
As an accredited institution by Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec, the Archival Centre benefits from the services of a full-time archivist. Its acquisition, processing, preservation, and dissemination activities are supported by a board of directors composed of members from the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region.
« The mission of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Archival Centre is to conserve the archival heritage of the Montérégie-Ouest region. We opted to create a fund and have chosen FGM with a view to sustain the conservation of the area’s archives. »
