Information on the update of cultural philanthropy incitement programs
The Foundation of Greater Montréal created, and continues to partner in, programs to encourage philanthropy in culture. Registered charitable cultural and communications organizations that meet the eligibility criteria may submit an application to the following programs.
Mécénat Placements Culture
The program’s new rules and several important changes were published in July.
This programs aims to provide non-profit cultural and communications organizations independence and financial security by stimulating stable funding and encouraging fundraising.

Mécénat Musica Program – 3rd Edition
The Foundation of Greater Montreal (FGM) is pleased to announce the 3rd Edition of the Fondation Mécénat Musica grant-matching program. Mécénat Musica encourages individuals to make an in-perpetuity donation of $25,000 to a cultural organization that is important to them, and it encourages philanthropic families to boost these individuals’ gifts with donations of $250,000 or $2,500,000.

We encourage you to send in your application as soon as possible because the program ends once the capital is allocated or on November 20, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. at the latest, whichever comes first.
Heritage Canada Program
The Canadian Culture Investment Program – Endowment Incentive component encourages not-for-profit professional arts organizations to establish new sources of funding. The government provides matching funds for the collected donations.
