Le Fonds Fondation St\u00e9phanie Gauthier soutient des organismes dont la mission est de venir en aide \u00e0 des femmes ayant une d\u00e9ficience intellectuelle ou des probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 mentale et qui offrent un service d\u2019h\u00e9bergement ou d\u2019aide psychosociale. Le Fonds soutient aussi des organismes qui, par des activit\u00e9s sociales ou culturelles diverses, visent l\u2019inclusion et la participation sociale de personnes ayant une d\u00e9ficience intellectuelle afin de briser leur isolement et de d\u00e9velopper leur r\u00e9seau social.<\/p>\n
Ses constituant\u00b7e\u00b7s, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne L\u00e9pine et Normand Gauthier, expliquent ainsi leur motivation \u00e0 mettre sur pied le Fonds Fondation St\u00e9phanie Gauthier :<\/p>\n
\u00ab Parents d’une fille handicap\u00e9e intellectuelle et ayant des probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 mentale et d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9e en 2011 \u00e0 l’\u00e2ge de 40 ans, nous souhaitons, \u00e0 notre d\u00e9c\u00e8s, l\u00e9guer une partie de notre patrimoine \u00e0 des organismes qui auraient pu lui venir en aide au besoin.
