Il a d\u00e9but\u00e9 sa carri\u00e8re chez KPMG, \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, puis a travaill\u00e9 pour le Groupe Olympia, une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de transformation de la viande, aujourd\u2019hui connue sous le nom d\u2019Olymel. Depuis 1994, il travaille chez Novacap, une des firmes d\u2019investissement les plus importantes dans le domaine du placement priv\u00e9 et du rachat d\u2019entreprise avec plus de 6\u00a0milliards de dollars d\u2019actifs sous gestion; il y occupe le poste de pr\u00e9sident du conseil et associ\u00e9 directeur \u2013 Industries. Il est membre du conseil d\u2019administration de plusieurs soci\u00e9t\u00e9s du portefeuille de Novacap Industries.<\/p>\n<p>Pour M.\u00a0Foisy, l\u2019entraide est une histoire de longue date\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Redonner et partager\u00a0: on apprend \u00e7a \u00e0 la maison.\u00a0\u00bb Alors qu\u2019il \u00e9tait enfant, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 impressionn\u00e9 par l\u2019implication de ses parents. M\u00eame si ceux-ci n\u2019\u00e9taient pas fortun\u00e9s, ils faisaient des dons, et sa m\u00e8re, en plus de s\u2019occuper de six enfants, s\u2019impliquait dans des associations \u00e0 but non lucratif. Une fois adulte, M.\u00a0Foisy est \u00e0 son tour devenu donateur pour diverses causes. Au fur et \u00e0 mesure qu\u2019il \u00e9voluait professionnellement, il s\u2019est de plus en plus rapproch\u00e9 de diverses associations, a suivi leurs activit\u00e9s et a augment\u00e9 ses dons.<\/p>\n<p>Sa d\u00e9marche philanthropique l\u2019a men\u00e9 \u00e0 ouvrir un fonds \u00e0 la\u00a0FGM avec son \u00e9pouse, M<sup>me<\/sup>\u00a0Chantal Bernier, en 2020. Le Fonds Fondation Foisy Bernier a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 dans le cadre de l\u2019\u00e9mission PearTree, aupr\u00e8s de qui la\u00a0FGM est accr\u00e9dit\u00e9e. Ensemble, M.\u00a0Foisy et M<sup>me<\/sup>\u00a0Bernier soutiendront plusieurs secteurs et organismes qu\u2019ils auront s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s.
