Given the lack of assistance for tenants in most of the adjacent neighbourhoods (C\u00f4te Saint Luc, Montreal West, Westmount, Hampstead, and the West Island), LogisAction provides services in those areas as well. In meeting its mandate, LogisAction NDG organizes several workshops per month dealing with topics such as tenants\u2019 rights, rent increases, signing a lease, cleanliness of dwellings and social housing.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond these information sessions, the organization has been developing long-term projects like \u00ab\u00a0Un toit comme chez soi pour les jeunes de NDG\u00a0\u00bb, the primary goal of which is to mobilize the community in seeking additional affordable social housing units for at-risk youth in NDG, or \u00ab\u00a0Chez soi \u00e0 NDG\u00a0\u00bb, which works with older tenants to give them the know-how and support they need to resolve their housing problems.<\/p>\n<p>With the COVID-19 pandemic, new needs have arisen in the area of housing. LogisAction NDG now accompanies tenants threatened with eviction, living in unsanitary dwellings or seeking new lodging that is better suited to altered living situations, most notably by assisting them with administrative procedures. The Foundation of Greater Montr\u00e9al\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/fgmtl.org\/copieprod\/en\/news\/trust-based-philanthropy-fgm-sets-up-the-collective-fund-for-social-equity\/\">COVID-19 Collective Fund<\/a> came to the aid of the organization as it worked to meet these urgent needs, and at the same time support its existing teams as they kept services going.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"cta full turquoise cta-page\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.logisaction.ca\/home\"><span class=\"red\">Visit LogisAction&rsquo;s website<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":16897,"template":"","meta":[],"class_list":["post-16898","temoignage","type-temoignage","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.4 -
