A few years after the antifeminist attack at Montr\u00e9al\u2019s \u00c9cole polytechnique, victims\u2019 family members and loved ones came together. Their goal is to support organizations combatting violence in our society, especially violence against women.<\/p>\n<p>In 2005, in order to ensure the continuation of its mission, the Fondation des victimes du 6 d\u00e9cembre contre la violence decided to create a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imakeanonlinedonation.org\/fgm\/343669\/\">memorial fund<\/a> at the Foundation of Greater Montr\u00e9al. The Fund\u2019s assets are protected in perpetuity and will continue to grow, thanks to new donations and investment returns. Its income is distributed annually. The Fund therefore honours the memory of the 14 women who were assassinated on December 6th, 1989. It also enables the Montreal community as a whole to support its mission.<\/p>\n<p>In concrete terms, over the last few years this has translated into financial support for many organizations. La rue des femmes, le Centre des femmes du Plateau Mont-Royal and the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration des maisons d\u2019h\u00e9bergement pour femmes, notably, received grants.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you to the Fondation des victimes du 6 d\u00e9cembre contre la violence for its commitment to curb all forms of violence, particularly violence directed towards women.<\/p>\n<p>Never forget them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":1529,"template":"","meta":[],"class_list":["post-1530","temoignage","type-temoignage","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.4 -
